CHALLENGE

I was approached by GriD architects to create a logo for a new hotel restaurant they were designing. Positioned next to a lake, Lāk restaurant needed a visual identity that reflected its location, while working in harmony with the hotel’s already established interior design elements.

SOLUTION

Developed a contemporary yet inviting logo with a subtle aquatic theme. The wave-like icon over the 'a' echoes tile textures used in the space and indicates the phonetic spelling of 'lake' to guide correct pronunciation of the restaurant's name.

Included on this page are alternative logo concepts that, while not selected, represent water through elements like nautical depth charts, waves, and surface ripples.
