As the second oldest Smithsonian museum on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., the Arts and Industries Building needed a dual logo system: one for fundraising efforts to support its renovation and another to spotlight its future as a cutting-edge exhibit space. 'The Future Project' exhibit will showcase the world’s most innovative technologies and visions of humanity's future.
Both logos feature a simplified representation of the building’s famous architecture, creating a modern mark paired with a clean, technical font. 'The Arts and Industries Building' logo shows an isometric view of the exterior with the roof intact, while 'The Future Project' logo presents the same view with the roof removed, revealing the exhibit space inside. The vibrant color palette and gradient effect are designed to evoke a sense of optimism and forward-looking innovation.
